In 1975, a motorcyclist braves the wet, frigid weather as he rides to work at an aeronautical machine shop. The faster he goes, the colder he feels. This inspired the machine shop owner and an engineer to develop unique electric heated clothing that came from the aeronautics industry. This led to the birth of Gerbing Heated Clothing. Since then, Gerbing has been the industry leader in developing heating technologies to keep you warm in the most frigid riding conditions.

All Gerbing products available in 12-Volt or 7-Volt. They are comfortable, safety-enhanced, and made from Ripstop Nylon for extra durability and wind-resistance.

Our patented Microwire® heating system is composed of thousands of conductive filaments 1/10th the thickness of a human hair. Each garment is controlled by a sophisticated power management and distribution system to maximize warmth and comfort.

All 12-Volt plug-in products may be used alone, or in any combination, as long as they do not exceed the maximum amperage allowed by the customer’s motorcycle.

All 7-Volt products are powered with rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs that include integrated microprocessors and LED switches to give you real-time battery status and power level monitoring.
